To provide a more robust and versatile, energy efficient light source for as many sites as possible.
Queensland Urban Utilities [ QUU ] are responsible for the delivery of water and sewage facilities to the Brisbane, Ipswich, Lockyer Valley, Scenic Rim and Somerset local authority areas. Many of their installations have been adversely affected by floods in recent years and a more versatile and robust lighting source was required for their many sites both above and below ground. Strategic Lightings’ ‘Eclipse’ Twin lens 80 watt [ FPE15280 ] and Twin lens 54 watt [ FPE12254 ] fittings were specified due to their IP66 rating, rotational lens capability, energy efficiency, robustness and their ability to be mounted in any orientation.
QUU engineers found them ideal for the many and varied locations and uses – for task lighting, security lighting and lighting to pathways and service points.
Outcome
These ongoing installations are providing better illumination for worker comfort and safety whilst saving significantly on energy costs.
